At Least Ginsburg Finally Admitted What Abortion is About

Note: Townhall would not publish this blog unless a certain word in Margaret Sanger's quote was censored.

This blog can also be found, along with more information, at www.fowlerforfreedom.com

Why is no one talking about Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s recent quote on Roe v. Wade? Here’s what the Supreme Court Justice said:

Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion. Which some people felt would risk coercing women into having abortions when they didn’t really want them. But when the court decided McRae, the case came out the other way. And then I realized that my perception of it had been altogether wrong.”

So, back to my original question, why is no one talking about this? A Supreme Court justice admitted abortion is about controlling certain segments of the population! Now, in all fairness to Ms. Ginsburg, she was not on the High Court at the time of the horribly decided Roe ruling. However, time and time again, she has voted to uphold the procedure, even striking down Nebraska’s ban on partial birth abortion. I don’t need to really go down this road, as anyone who knows anything about the Court knows Ginsburg is probably the justice farthest to the left. She is the most liberal judge.

One reason this quote is being passed over, I think, is because the abortion movement, since it’s conception (pardon the pun) has had roots in the population control movement. This is not really something they probably care to admit. Being in the same ideological camp as the Third Reich really isn’t good PR. But, let’s take Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, for example. She was all about trying to limit the existence of certain people. Here are some quotes from the one the pro-choice crowd lifts up as a hero.

"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the N*gro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the N*gro population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

Silly rebellious coloreds, questioning what white people like Margaret Sanger and others want to enforce upon them. Of course, I’m being sarcastic. But Sanger was not. She really said the above statement, and many more like it. She believed that abortion was the only way to curb the growth of the African American population. But, let’s move on to some other quotes.

"Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race."

"Eugenic sterilization is an urgent need ... We must prevent multiplication of this bad stock."

"Eugenics is … the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems.”

Wow, slow down there, Mrs. Hitler. Some of these statements would embarrass Klan members, for goodness’ sake. There are actually many, many, many more quotes I could use, but I would be writing all day. But, please, if you are one who blindly accepts abortion and the arguments of the pro-choice organizations, like Ms. Sanger’s Planned Parenthood, look into all this yourself. Do some research. Form your own opinions and don’t just approve of something because your professors, parents, teachers, clergy, or whoever else, say you should. Certainly don’t just take my word for it. Investigate the history of this violent movement and be open to what the truth reveals.

And, Christians, let’s pray for an end to abortion. Not in a casual, flippant way. But, let’s get serious and stand up against what is evil, and for what is good (or Who is good, I should say). The above quotes from Sanger reveal the same sort of thinking Adolph Hitler had. It’s a philosophy that devalues human life and believes some sectors of the population aren’t “pure” enough to exist. It’s a mindset that believes undesirable social ills can be eliminated by eliminating “undesirable” people. However, it ignores the truth that to God, there is no such thing as an undesirable person.

Just some things to think about.

Tom Coburn and the Office Of Unborn Children's Health

Note: This blog is also at my homepage, www.fowlerforfreedom.com!

Occasionally I like to check up on the abortion rights crowd. Yes, there are a lot of really obnoxious, masculine women who are very angry in that group. I mean, come one, ladies, and lighten up a bit. Anyway, most of them probably won’t have to worry about unwanted pregnancies because I doubt there are too many men just dying to hop in the sack with them. But, that’s neither here nor there.

In my recent monitoring of the twisted, pro-choice culture, I came across something that no one (besides the angry, masculine women) is talking about. One of my senators, Tom Coburn, marked up the “Affordable Health Choices Act,” and put in a provision that would create the “Office of Unborn Children’s Health.” And of course, the pro-choice crowd is fuming made about it. But, then again, they’re always mad about something, so no big shock there. I wasn’t able to find out exactly what the proposed Office would do, but the name itself says a lot!

A blogger by the name of “Molly” on NARAL’s website said this about Coburn, “Sen. Coburn of Oklahoma is one of the most unrelentingly anti-choice members of Congress.”

Thanks for complementing my senator, Molly.

I think I’ll call Senator Coburn’s office and voice my appreciation for him. He is going out of his way to stand up for every U.S. citizen, including the unborn! In fact, he’s written nine amendments to the Health Care Bill. He has my approval.

Besides, no matter how stupid the liberals think the “Office of Unborn Children’s Health” is, it’s no worse than “Office of the President Elect.”

Pray for the Anglicans

Just to throw out a disclaimer, I am not Anglican. But I like a lot of Anglicans. In fact, historically much of my ancestors were devout Anglicans. Two of the greatest theologians, in my mind, have come from the “Canterbury Road” (C.S. Lewis and J.I. Packer). And while I am not a member of the Anglican Communion myself, I think it’s important that Christians speak up for other Christians. We may have disagreements, but what’s new? So, this post is for the Anglicans! And all true Christians.

Recently, the Episcopal Church has been moving more and more towards the left. Far left, in fact. There are more and more conservative Anglicans speaking up and beginning new congregations that keep more in line with Scripture. But the overall Episcopal community seems to be going out of its way to go liberal.

For example: Recently, Katherine Hancock Ragsdale (a lesbian Episcopal “priestess”) was appointed new president and dean of Episcopal Divinity School! I could stop right there and that would be shocking to many of us. But it gets worse. Ms. Ragsdale is also a member of (and sits on the board!) of the radical, pro-abortion group NARAL. Ragsdale also sits on the board of the “Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice”, whatever the heck that is.  The “priestess” also made the following statements:

“And when a woman becomes pregnant within a loving, supportive, respectful relationship; has every option open to her; decides she does not wish to bear a child; and has access to a safe, affordable abortion - there is not a tragedy in sight -- only blessing. The ability to enjoy God's good gift of sexuality without compromising one's education, life's work, or ability to put to use God's gifts and call is simply blessing.

These are the two things I want you, please, to remember - abortion is a blessing and our work is not done. Let me hear you say it: abortion is a blessing and our work is not done. Abortion is a blessing and our work is not done. Abortion is a blessing and our work is not done.

I want to thank all of you who protect this blessing - who do this work every day: the health care providers, doctors, nurses, technicians, receptionists, who put your lives on the line to care for others (you are heroes -- in my eyes, you are saints); the escorts and the activists; the lobbyists and the clinic defenders; all of you. You're engaged in holy work.”

Abortion is a blessing? The ones who practice and defend it are saints? HOLY WORK? Her statements speak for themselves, and I don’t have to comment. Anyone with even the smallest amount of biblical discernment knows how wrong and contrary to Jesus Christ and His teachings Ms. Ragsdale’s views are. Please join me in praying for the biblical Christians within the Anglican movement. They are protesting, they are revolting, and they are doing something about this! We need to stand with these brothers and sisters and aid them in any way we can. First and foremost, with prayers! Also, pray for the ones such as Ms. Ragsdale, that their eyes would be opened and they would actually understand God's Word, not just distort it. One thing is for sure…this is not the church of C.S. Lewis anymore!

What In The World Is Wrong With Michael Steele and the Republicans?!

What in the world is wrong with Michael Steele? In a recent interview with GQ magazine, he made the comment that women have the right to choose an abortion, and he is against a Federal ban on the procedure. Is he just trying to alienate real conservatives? Because it really seems he’s going out of his way to do so. No wonder the unofficial head of the Conservative Movement is a radio host, not the leader of the GOP.

And while I’m asking what is wrong with Michael Steele, let me ask what in the world is wrong with the Republican Party? They elect people like Michael Steele to lead the Party, there is no clear conservative voice among the elected Republican office holders, and they elected a guy like John McCain as their presidential nominee! It’s as if the people controlling the party (who obviously aren’t real conservatives) haven’t figured out that playing the “moderate card” doesn’t work! Liberals will never like you. It doesn’t matter how far to the center or left you move, liberals will never embrace you. So don’t even try. Just be the mouthiest conservatives you can be. Be proud of your values and your belief in limited government and more personal responsibility. Don’t just be “Liberal Lite.” But, it appears as if the ones in control have made up their minds, and guys like me are thinking maybe we need to get out. Maybe we need to join another party, or start another party.

Case in point: the last presidential election. Who in the world voted for John McCain in the primaries and why? Some said, “He’s the most electable.” Well, first of all, that wasn’t true. And I saw that to be the case all along. Secondly, never sell out your values and principles to win an election! That kind of thinking is what got us into the mess the GOP is in now. As long as we are the party defined by John McCain and Michael Steele and all the other neo-cons, we’re going to be the party that loses!

There is hope, however. There is a growing movement of true conservatives who are becoming increasingly disenfranchised. I am encouraged by Glenn Beck’s “We Surround Them” campaign he’s launching tonight on his television program. Maybe it will be the spark that lights the conservative fire. I don’t know. But, at least it’s encouraging. And, as I pointed out on my last post, Obama is doing a lot to wake up conservatives! Thanks for the help, buddy.

But, in the mean time, I’ll contemplate leaving the RNC and striking out with another party, or starting my own, or who knows. I just want to associate with people who actually get it, and not gutless, spineless Republicans who don’t have a clue.
