Note: Townhall would not publish this blog unless a certain word in Margaret Sanger's quote was censored.

Why is no one talking about Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s recent quote on Roe v. Wade? Here’s what the Supreme Court Justice said:
“Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion. Which some people felt would risk coercing women into having abortions when they didn’t really want them. But when the court decided McRae, the case came out the other way. And then I realized that my perception of it had been altogether wrong.”
So, back to my original question, why is no one talking about this? A Supreme Court justice admitted abortion is about controlling certain segments of the population! Now, in all fairness to Ms. Ginsburg, she was not on the High Court at the time of the horribly decided Roe ruling. However, time and time again, she has voted to uphold the procedure, even striking down Nebraska’s ban on partial birth abortion. I don’t need to really go down this road, as anyone who knows anything about the Court knows Ginsburg is probably the justice farthest to the left. She is the most liberal judge.
One reason this quote is being passed over, I think, is because the abortion movement, since it’s conception (pardon the pun) has had roots in the population control movement. This is not really something they probably care to admit. Being in the same ideological camp as the Third Reich really isn’t good PR. But, let’s take Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, for example. She was all about trying to limit the existence of certain people. Here are some quotes from the one the pro-choice crowd lifts up as a hero.
"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the N*gro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the N*gro population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."
Silly rebellious coloreds, questioning what white people like Margaret Sanger and others want to enforce upon them. Of course, I’m being sarcastic. But Sanger was not. She really said the above statement, and many more like it. She believed that abortion was the only way to curb the growth of the African American population. But, let’s move on to some other quotes.
"Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race."
"Eugenic sterilization is an urgent need ... We must prevent multiplication of this bad stock."
"Eugenics is … the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems.”
Wow, slow down there, Mrs. Hitler. Some of these statements would embarrass Klan members, for goodness’ sake. There are actually many, many, many more quotes I could use, but I would be writing all day. But, please, if you are one who blindly accepts abortion and the arguments of the pro-choice organizations, like Ms. Sanger’s Planned Parenthood, look into all this yourself. Do some research. Form your own opinions and don’t just approve of something because your professors, parents, teachers, clergy, or whoever else, say you should. Certainly don’t just take my word for it. Investigate the history of this violent movement and be open to what the truth reveals.
And, Christians, let’s pray for an end to abortion. Not in a casual, flippant way. But, let’s get serious and stand up against what is evil, and for what is good (or Who is good, I should say). The above quotes from Sanger reveal the same sort of thinking Adolph Hitler had. It’s a philosophy that devalues human life and believes some sectors of the population aren’t “pure” enough to exist. It’s a mindset that believes undesirable social ills can be eliminated by eliminating “undesirable” people. However, it ignores the truth that to God, there is no such thing as an undesirable person.
Just some things to think about.
